Vedicians of House Karna leading the Eco-Friendly Culture and Heritage Club under the aegis of our Principal took initiation for propagating Seed bombing the arid region around ORR – Outer ring road. Seeds encased in clay and compost were dried and made into seed bombs. There were later scattered all around by students of Grade 1 to 8. We have done our bit, hopefully Mother Nature will nurture these seed bombs into strong trees bringing the much-needed vegetation to facilitate a GO GREEN ENVIRONMENT.

 


Students of Sunflower Vedic School celebrated Ramzan on 24th June in the campus. An array of cultural programs including speech on the importance of the holy month of Ramzan and fasting. A mesmerizing dance performance was presented by the students of Grade VI.

 


Herbal Exhibition

Our Vedicians of Grade 5-8 visited the Herbal Exhibition at Chai Training Center, where they learned about Ayurvedic products and its usage in day to day life.


International Yoga Day

As a part of International Yoga Day special assembly was arranged in the Sunflower Vedic School premises in which the objectives of World Yoga Day was discussed among the students and the World Music Day was also celebrated with great enthusiasm. Students rendered melodious songs with an aim to integrate the universal language of melody and rhythm.


As part of International Yoga Day, the Sunflower Vedic School students went to various schools to celebrate it.The students of Eklavya House went to Zilla Parishad Government School at Devaryamzal, performed various asanas and enthralled the audience with their perfect postures.

SVS spent time @Malla Reddy Hospital Suraram distributing food and buttermilk to all the attenders, patients and visitors too.

We experienced a sense of contentment as the mentors, staff and supporting staff which includes all the members of housekeeping, transport and maintenance wings of the school together,worked as a team and prepared the food boxes supporting “Bhubuksha-One Meal One Smile”.


PUDDLE DANCING BASH

What we learn with pleasure we never forget. Children learn as they play, most importantly in play children learn many new things. So as a part of activity our Vedicians of Grade -1 had a “Puddle Dancing Bash”. They would like to sprinkle a message to all the viewers that ‘Life is short; time is fast, no reply, no rewind’, so let’s all enjoy the little things as it comes….

 

SRI RAMA NAVAMI CELEBRATIONS

Rama Navami is a Hindu spring festival that celebrates the birthday of Lord Rama, particularly important to the Vaishnava tradition, as the seventh avatar of Vishnu.The festival is a part of the spring Navratri, and falls on the ninth day of the bright half (Shukla Paksha) in the Hindu calendar month of Chaitra.

On this auspicious occasion our school was decorated with torans and flowers a “ Panch Pandiri”(Mandapam) was made. Our Vedicians as Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman were welcomed in a chariot procession driven by white decorated horses.
